APP Instructions for students

Using the Online Academic Progress Plan System

Helpful Hints:

Once an APP form has been submitted to your adviser, that particular form cannot be changed by you. To change a submitted APP form, see #4 below.

Turn off multiple languages on your browser before working on the APP.

When deleting courses in a given term, click the DEL button and then click SAVE. Delete courses before adding new ones. (If a course will not delete, contact Mike Conwell at conwell@msu.edu.)

 

Creating a new APP form

  1. Highlight "ADD NEW YEAR"
  2. Click on "CREATE NEW APP"
  3. Use the default year or type it in (such as "20072008") without spaces or hyphens
  4. Click on SUBMIT

 

Entering courses into the APP form

  1. Click the appropriate term button
  2. Read the header definitions before entering data
  3. Tab to the first available entry row and key in the data
  4. Click the SAVE button when finished

 

Editing an unsubmitted APP form

  1. Highlight the "name" of the APP that you want to edit (such as "20072008-00")
  2. Click on "EDIT/VIEW APP"

 

Editing a submitted APP form

  1. Highlight the "name" of the APP that you want to edit (such as "20072008-1")
  2. Click on "CREATE NEW APP"
  3. The form that appears is a new version and is editable
